Augustine’s Poems: A Handful Of Poems I Made For A Character Of Mine

Augustine’s Poems: A Handful Of Poems I Made For A Character Of Mine

Hello my fellow readers and writers! For a while, I had a world in which a character named Augustine lived, and he was a poem guy. He would write poems. So, I decided that I would share with you guys some poems I made with him in mind(aka, poems that he would write).

The three poems are: Poisoned Leaves, Sunshine, & Lest You See Me.

Poem #1 - Poisoned Leaves

The time has come. The rose has withered.

The tree is poisoned, it falls from the leaves.

It has poisoned all, including me.

Though how come no one sees

The crimson shade of pain

And the blackness of poison

Until it is too late?

The poison is blinding

The leaves whisper

The withering is like rot

The rose murmurs

The blackness in your heart

Is all your fault

As the rings of poison spread farther and farther

What can be done?

The poison taunts

I certainly can do nothing

For I am the poison. I am the rot.

I wither all, and love not

Your time has come,

The poison sings

As I bleed and bleed and bleed

As you die, take one last breath,

Say your last words,

For I am the poison, I am the rot,

And I cannot be stopped.

Poem #2 - Sunshine

sunshine sunshine

why must you

follow i?

sunshine sunshine

go away do not

come again

any day

sunshine sunshine

i do no good,

why do you even try?

sunshine sunshine

i may be broken

but you cannot fix i

sunshine sunshine

go away go away

i prefer silence

and storms

i need no light

for my intentions are not good

sunshine sunshine

do you know that i corrupt?

i am poison to your veins

i am rot to your bones

leave me now

lest you perish

my curse

is forever binding

you cannot save me

and do not try

sunshine sunshine

stay away

Poem #3 - Lest You See Me

how many times must I say,

leave me, lest you see

the truth and pain

of me

no matter what happens,

I will never be there

in life,

in death,

in hate,

in love

I do this for your own good,

can you not see?

for you to love me

is something I cannot allow

and to love you,

is to kill you

I do this out of love,

why do you refuse to leave?

I tell you this,

a solemn warning

you will hurt

and you will ache

and you will wish

that I were dead

in the end

And there you have it, three poems that I’ve made. I hope you enjoyed reading them, and that they give you a bit of a window into who Augustine is(even though his world is… inactive).
