  Weekly Reading Update & Announcement Hello my fellow readers! Sorry this is late! I haven’t been reading a lot AT ALL, so there’s only… well… two books… But! First, I have an announcement to make. You can now recommend books to me, if you’d like! I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned this, but I love it when people tell me, “oh, you should read this book”.   A (Somewhat Late) Storm of Blood Update Hello again, my fellow readers and writers! Today’s blogpost is half a ‘status update’ and half a ‘what my plan is’. So, if you’ve ever been curious about Storm of Blood, here’s the info! Also, the picture for this post is a temporary cover– it is subject to change.   Weekly Reading Update: I’ve Read 100 Books This Year… Hello my fellow readers! Today is a simple reading recap, BUT I have a little announcement… I have officially read 100 books this year! One. Hundred. It’s kind of crazy to think about, if I’m being completely honest. Also, please comment if you want me to make a list of all the books I’ve read, along with a star rating. Now, onto my weekly reading update. I only read 3 books this week, so this will be a shorter post. Daughter of the Siren Queen by Tricia Levenseller This one was 3.5 stars, but I rounded it up to 4 on my Goodreads. It was a satisfying conclusion to Daughter of the Pirate King, and I enjoyed the addition of lore in the book, but a lot of it just fell flat. The main character, Alosa, felt a little wishy-washy during this story, and her love subplot with Riden was a little-we-don’t-like-each-other-but-he’s-attractive to oh-I-love- him, and it was slightly annoying.   Weekly Reading Review: What I’ve Read! Hello my fellow readers! I’m back again with yet another update! And I actually managed to post on time! (Well, technically on time, even though it’s Friday evening) Let’s just get right into it. Vengeance of the Pirate Queen by Tricia Levenseller This book was 4 stars. It’s a spin-off standalone from the world of Daughter of the Pirate King, following Sorinda, the quiet, closed-off, pirate assassin that’s part of Alosa’s crew.  This one was interesting, since I already knew that I liked Sorinda, and her love interest, Kearan. The worldbuilding introduces a cold wasteland island that they accidentally stumble upon while searching for a missing crew, and things start to go sideways from there. I just felt like the plot was way too condensed and could have been lengthened.  Kill Joy by Holly Jackson Five stars! This is a prequel to Jackson’s main series, A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder. It has Pip at a ‘murder mystery’...

  Weekly Reading Update - Sorry It’s Late! Hello my fellow readers! I’m sorry that this post has come so late… I was heading back home from being at a family member’s house on Friday, ended up being really busy Saturday, got sick on Sunday, and started dual enrollment yesterday.  The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater Five. Stars. I loved this book, with its supernatural vibes– but not the kind with werewolves and vampires. No, this one has ley lines, ghosts, and magical forests.  I loved the characters, Blue, Gansey, Ronan (even though he was a bit of a jerk- well, is a jerk), Adam, and Noah. The story was just… the plot twists make sense in hindsight, and it’s overall really good. While it had moderate language, there was very little romance and other things.   Weekly Reading Update: What I’ve Read! Hello and welcome, my fellow readers! I’m here to share what books I’ve read this week! Sorry that it’s a day late, Friday was busy and I had a bit of a headache… but now it’s time to get into what I read! I… read six books this week, so this might be a little on the longer side. Sadie by Courtney Summers Sadie was, for me, 4.5 stars. It was so good, but so, so very sad. It has a dual-pov between Sadie, as she hunts down her sister's killer, and West McCray’s podcast, The Girls, that follows after Sadie in his attempts to find her. I really enjoyed that flipping of pov’s, but the plot dragged in some spots, just enough for me to demote it by half a star.  Though I would say this book is 16+, with reader discretion. This book might not be suitable for you if you are sensitive. In fact, though it’s YA, some adults might not be able to stomach the sensitive content found in here.   Weekly Reading Update: What Have I Read? Hello and welcome, my fellow readers! Today is my first-ever Weekly Reading Update! I’m going to be sharing how many books I’ve read this week, my ratings on them, and a little bit about the books! How Many Books Have I Read? I have read 4 books. Well, technically four. I finished Such Charming Liars last Saturday, though I had started it a few days before. Then, I read Of Stormlarks and Silence, Of Chaos and Cadence, and Of Tides and Treason. I am in the middle of reading Her Last Wish by Eva Sparks, but I won’t be going into the details on that one, since it’ll be for next week. Such Charming Liars: A Mini-Review  Such Charming Liars was a 4-star read for me.
