I Want To Write… My Personal Manifesto
Hello my fellow readers and writers! I know I’ve been doing a lot of personal writing stuff lately, and you guys seem to like it, so I decided I would share with you a piece of writing that is short, but a core part of who I want to be.
Now, before we go onto my Manifesto, here is the basic description of what a personal manifesto is: a written declaration of your core values, beliefs, and intentions. Technically, my manifesto could be considered a creative manifesto, since it is about my creative endeavors.
Onto my Manifesto!
I Want To Write…
I want to write about characters who are having a rough go of it, are a little broken, and dangerous even if they don’t want to be. I want their path to be chosen for them, even if they want the opposite. I want them to have a family that is forged through their hurts, and I want, more than everything else, to give them a hope for a better future, one that they will fight for.
I want to write wonderful worlds with power, with magic, that are ruled over by a corrupt or deaf hand, by a leader who doesn’t listen or care about the people they command. I want to write worlds that show the brokenness within, and give those broken characters a home to strive to fix.
I want to write poetry that's both dark and light, hopeful and condemning. I want to write about fairytales that have taken twists and turns that nobody could have expected. I want to write worlds where there are vampires and shifters and fae and elves and wizards.
I want to write short stories and novels. I want to share those stories with the world, get published someday. I want to write posts for my blog, so that I can share my knowledge with the world, even if I feel like I don’t know very much.
I want to write for myself, because the burning need to write and to dream and to imagine is always there, just under the surface and deep within my heart. I want to write for my blog, to share with the people who read it. I want to write for others, people who have supported me and encouraged me, and told me that I was doing great. I want to write for you guys and my family.
And finally, I want to write for the teen who just wants to read a book that isn’t explicit, that is deep and meaningful and becomes a part of them just like so many books have become a part of me. I want to write for the eleven-year-old girl who reads above her grade level and wants to read what others read, but there’s too many things that her parents don’t want her reading within the pages.
I want to write for the girl that I used to be, and for the teen that I am, and for the woman that I will someday become.
…and there you have it, my personal, creative manifesto! I hope you enjoyed that glimpse into what I want to write in the future, and in the now as well.
Please make sure to share, comment, and check out some of my other blog posts! Have a good day.

I love reading your writings, and this manifesto is personal and helps me get a better understanding of what drives you. Thanks for sharing!
